I was aware that Numark makes much higher-end turntables so I was surprised to see this belt-drive system — which many consider preferable to servo-driven platters – at such an affordable price. Using this has been more than fun… It has been great. I have records I have not listened to in over 20 years and getting them converted to digital is a treat. Using Audacity was not all that easy to work, but after about 6 or 7 records it became easy. From recording of the vinyl, through normailzation, removal of clicks, adding titles and lastly to save it was not difficult at all. Each record does take about 2 hours from start to my iPod, but the results are wonderful. – Mark A. Billings
